After a highly successful Pengyou Day event which included a tour of New York’s Chinatown as well as a night of Karaoke, the team was interviewed by their school news organization, NYU’s Washington Square News, a student-run news organization, who lauded them for their efforts.
The Valpo Chapter celebrated Pengyou Day by hosting an interactive booth including learning how to write Chinese characters, eating dumplings and also a presentation about the various study abroad programs in China the school has to offer! See the blog post for highlights from the event!

For the second time we returned to Harvard bringing together over forty exemplary young Americans to participate in the Project Pengyou Leadership Fellow Training Summit and join the Pengyou mission by building chapters at their home institutions.

Project Pengyou is pleased to invite educators, students and alumni to our courtyard tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 9th to have a discussion on”American Diversity in China” with Johnny C. Taylor, the President and CEO of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. Additionally, the brilliant Sandra Jeffrey, Executive Director of Americans Promoting Study Abroad (APSA) will be moderating the discussion.
