On Thursday, May 18, The China Institute in New York City will host a SupChina forum to discuss how women are shaping China as a rising global power.

On Sunday, March 5, Project Pengyou joined with Sino-American talks, a group focused on exchanging perspectives of Americans and Chinese, to discuss the growth and the challenges that Americans studying in China face, and how to ensure that the next generations of cross-cultural leaders have a positive experience in China.

Language barriers aren’t the only scary thing about living abroad – navigating small talk, slang, and subtle body language cues can all be difficult pitfalls for international students in America for the first time. We partnered with Beyond Borders: Linking Our Stories, a cross-cultural theater workshop aimed at preparing Chinese high schoolers to navigate those cultural subtleties in the U.S..

On Sunday, January 15th, Project Pengyou hosted around 50 Johns Hopkins University (JHU) students and alumni, many of whom came from the Hopkins Nanjing Center and the JHU School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).

It’s been almost two months since the launch of the US-China Comedy Center at the Project Pengyou Courtyard, and it has received an overwhelmingly positive response!

Last Wednesday, November 9, the Project Pengyou team cohosted a special panel event at Cafe Sambal in Shanghai with the Hopkins-Nanjing Center (HNC) and the Hopkins-China Forum on how to build China into your career.
