Now that the Project Pengyou Leadership Fellows Program is in its second year, several of our inaugural Fellows have graduated. We had a call last week to catch up with everyone and hear about their careers and recent adventures in China and abroad.
From February 8-14, Pengyous will visit local schools that have limited access to Chinese language and culture and share their knowledge with them.
The Project Pengyou Leadership Network kicked off 2016 with our first national call of the year connecting Project Pengyou Chapter leaders from coast to coast.
With each summit, we are learning with the Fellows how we as a community can be better, more focused, and hone in on what bridges really need to be built between the US and China. After the first two cohorts of Project Pengyou Leadership Fellows returned home, they laid the groundwork for campus chapters across the nation. Through their hard work, we have glimpsed what this network is capable of achieving together.
As the summer is coming to a close, Team Pengyou looks back on fond memories with all of our spring and summer 2015 Golden Bridges interns.
Meet Pengyou summer intern Shirley, who is not learning Chinese to study a foreign place, but to bring two worlds together.
Meet Olivia, Project Pengyou Summer intern who had a glimpse of China in transition from a young age and wanted more.
It has been one year since we launched the Project Pengyou Leadership Fellows Program. On June 19th and 20th, 2015 Project Pengyou Leaders from over 20 states gathered in DC to share what they learned.
After one year of Chapter Building, we held our first Chapter Reunion and Leadership Retreat at the University of Maryland to share our challenges and accomplishments and grow closer as a network of Pengyous!
