Addressing Social Needs in the Global Context Reception | Penn Wharton China Center

Event Details

Dr. John L. Jackson, Jr., Dean of the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy & Practice (SP2) and the Richard Perry University Professor, welcomes you to the “Addressing Social Needs in the Global Context” Reception held on June 3, 2015 from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the Penn Wharton China Center Plaza. Doors will open at 6:30pm, and the reception will start at 7:00pm.

Dr. Jackson began his tenure as Dean of the School in 2014. He came to Penn in 2006 as the Richard Perry University Professor and the University’s first Penn Integrates Knowledge (PIK) Professor, a prestigious professorship reserved for the most accomplished interdisciplinary scholars whose work focuses on real-world problems and a commitment to working across disciplinary boundaries to find solutions. Dr. Jackson is a renowned cultural anthropologist and ethnographer, who captures, characterizes, and impacts social issues through film.

This reception will provide an opportunity to acknowledge the collaborations and partnerships that Penn’s School of Policy & Practice has developed in China over the years. We hope it will also provide a platform to meet with Chinese Penn alumni, collaborators and senior leaders of our partner universities and NGOs, members of China’s Association for Social Work Education, and friends of Penn and SP2.

This reception is open to Penn alumni and students. Slots are limited. Please RSVP to Ms. Yuyuan Liu via yuyuanl@sp2.upenn.edu with your name, your contact information, and your affiliation with Penn. Acceptance to the reception will be granted to those who provide the earliest RSVPs.

If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Yuyuan Liu at yuyuanl@sp2.upenn.edu, or call Ms. Chris Zhang at 86-10-85871740. Thank you!
