Alumni's Tea | Beyond PKU: Careers in China

Event Details

I want to stay in China after completing my degree.
What is possible?

On March 20, Peking University alumni Eric Gass (School of Government, 13′) will join us to share his perspective on career paths in China. We welcome you to join and contribute to the discussion on the work environment and career opportunities in China.

Eric is a Project Manager at the China Entrepreneur Club (CEC), an NGO established by China’s private sector business leaders to represent a collective voice in the pursuit of better Chinese business. The CEC platform and membership focus on three core roles: bolstering member company growth, deepening global engagement and understanding, and contributing constructive input towards government policy. The 55 CEC member companies employed over 1 million persons and generated collective annual revenues of over 3 trillion RMB in 2015.

Eric moved to China in 2006 to learn Chinese and frequent hotpot restaurants. After completing a degree in Urban Planning at Peking University, he joined the CEC to support the ambitions of Chinese companies globally. His work has covered numerous projects in China, as well as overseas projects in Australia, Germany, Italy, Israel, Canada and the US.
