Solve-a-thons, rooted in human-centered design, provide an opportunity for change-makers, innovators, and entrepreneurs to ideate, iterate, and form new partnerships to bring their solutions to big global challenges to life. At the end of each Solve-a-thon, participants will have the chance to submit their solutions to MIT Solve’s Open Innovation Platform. The best solutions selected from the platform will be invited to pitch their ideas in front of a panel of expert judges during United Nations General Assembly week in New York in September. Those selected at the pitch event will become “Solvers” and be connected with Solve’s member community and the resources they need to turn their solutions into a reality.

Applications for the 2017 SOLVE Challenges are due August 1st. Challenge prizes include up to $2 million in funding, mentorship from Yo-Yo Ma, and others. Apply today by visiting solve.mit.edu.
