Sinology Institute’s 3rd installment of its Business Chinese Lecture Series will teach students how to work smoothly in a Chinese business environment.

Working in a Chinese business environment is very different than working at a Western company. There is a lot of room for cultural misunderstandings and miscommunication especially in a non-native language. Sinology Institute’s 3rd installment of its Business Chinese Lecture Series will teach students how to work smoothly in a Chinese business environment.

This class will be a combination lecture and open dialogue about working in a Chinese professional atmosphere. Students will discuss how their experiences working in China and how to avoid making rookies mistakes in Chinese companies. Jiao Yu will go through different office scenarios in China and discuss the best way for foreigners to behave in these situations. For Example: You start a new job at Chinese company. What is the best way to get off on the right foot? How do you make a good impression and begin to build guanxi with your new Chinese co-workers? This is just one of many scenarios that be discussed at our Chinese Business Culture course.

This class will be taught in Mandarin and is targeted toward upper-intermediate and advanced students. This class is 125 RMB. The class will be held from 7:30-9:30 at our campus in Gulou.
