As part of the Afro-Sino Chamber of Commerce’s 中非裔美国际贸易商会 Chinese Cultural Initiative we invite you to attend our Chinese Cultural Festival and Open House where we will introduce our “Chinese Corner”, a weekly topic based conversation group.

As part of the Afro-Sino Chamber of Commerce’s 中非裔美国际贸易商会 Chinese Cultural Initiative we invite you to attend our Chinese Cultural Festival and Open House where we will introduce our “Chinese Corner”, a weekly topic based conversation group. The mission of the Chinese corner is to promote multilingualism, explore Chinese culture with CPS and non-CPS students and their families and to develop a greater understanding of alternate worldviews. Working closely with educational, business and cultural institutions throughout America and China we will introduce our youth to the larger world beyond their neighborhoods and promote a sense of belonging to the international community.

Executive Director of the Afro-Sino Chamber of Commerce Rasaan 华山 Liddell will share his insights and experience accumulated over the near decade he spent in China recognized by the Chinese government as a Foreign Expert of Education and Culture. He was awarded the 2008 Educator of the Year Award at the in that role. Fluent in Mandarin, Mr. Liddell is sure to captivate the attention of both Chinese speakers and China enthusiasts alike availing his many years traveling throughout China as a member of a theatre group performing in both English and Mandarin to Chinese audiences.
