Offered by the Peking University, Guanghua School of Management’s International MBA program, in collaboration with the AmCham China Young Professionals’ Committee, the workshop series will provide both critical management skills training, career planning and practical insights into doing business in China and building a global career. Workshop participants will learn how to deliver better results and drive growth within their organizations.
In this final module, you will gain invaluable insight into Chinese consumers and consumer behaviors, as well as effective marketing channel strategies that firms use to reach these consumers. What defines the average Chinese consumer? How can your brand expand its influence in China?
Marketing expert and professor Dr. Wang Rui conducts ground-breaking research that is providing insights into the dynamic and ever-evolving Chinese consumer. Wang’s research examines marketing channels and explores how and why certain brands proliferate in China. In addition to her work with marketing channels, she is actively shaping China’s international brand valuation. Working with the Chinese government and a diverse team of experts from different nationalities and across disciplines, Wang is developing a new standardized valuation for Chinese businesses that will replace the outdated ISO-9. Wang earned her Ph.D. in Marketing at the Smeal School of Business, Pennsylvania State University in the US and her work has been published in leading academic journals, including the Strategic Management Journal and The Chief Marketing Officer Journal.
