Freeman Awards for Study in Asia (Freeman-ASIA) provides scholarships for U.S. undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need to study abroad in East or Southeast Asia.

To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must be a U.S. citizens or permanent resident at the time of application, currently enrolled as an undergraduate, accepted to or applying to a credit-bearing study abroad program in East or Southeast Asia, have at least one term (other than a summer term) ahead of them at their home institution upon their returned, a minimum GPA of 2.8, and have a FAFSA on file.

The summer application remains open. The summer deadline is March 1st (by 5:00pm Eastern) for students, and March 7th(by 5:00pm Eastern) for adviser certification.
