University of Maryland offers a few summer terms abroad to China directly organized by UMD.

  • UMD-Summer: China: Analysis of Civil Engineering Systems (ENGR)

  • UMD-Summer: China: Investigating the Geographical Impacts of Urbanization in China (GEOG)

The university's major established China programs include:

  • Maryland China Initiative provides non-degree training for Chinese leaders who work to advance public welfare;

  • Award-winning EMBA programs run by the Robert H. Smith School of Business in Beijing and Shanghai

  • The School of Public Policy's Executive Master of Public Management program for Chinese officials;
