Job Description

  • This is a Training Operations Coordinator position reporting to Campus Manager, supporting Boeing Shanghai Training& Flight Service on duties and responsibilities include, but are limited to the following:
    • Provide support to the Technical and Safety Pilots including (40% of time):
    • Coordinate team meetings, interfacing with other Boeing stakeholders
    • Coordinate customer meetings including pilot assignment and scheduling
    • Status and report on key customer support projects and initiatives
    • Book travel and transportation for pilots
    • Support processing of travel expenses for pilots
    • Provide translation support between pilots and customers
    • Provide support to the Pilot Development Program including (40% of time):
    • Act as customer point of contact for all Ab Initio Program operational issues
    • Primary program interface at the Boeing Shanghai campus
    • Primary point of contact for cadets while at campus training (Jet Bridge and Type)
    • Coordination with and between Boeing regulatory/quality and CAAC
    • Plan, coordinate and facilitate cadet screening activities with customers in China
    • Coordinate the transition of cadets from selection, CAAC medical validation, through to travel to US for initial Ab Initio flight training
    • Coordinate the transition of cadets back from US Ab initio training into Chinese license conversion/Jet Bridge and Type
    • Assist the Sales team with any in-country visits to potential customers and act as the Pilot Development Program/Ab Initio SME for China
    • Identify, engage and oversee local vendors for the provision of student accommodation, transport and meals Coordinate team and customer meetings
    • Provide student visa application support
    • Coordinate instructor and student transport
    • Provide support to the Campus Operations team including (20% of time):
    • Provide back-up support to the Business Support Specialist when needed
    • Provide back-up support to the Guest Services Representatives when needed
    • Perform other duties as directed by the Campus Manager that could reasonably be undertaken
    • Support procurement activities by performing the role of either the Buyer or Requisitioner using SAP

Qualifications:                                            

  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin language skills (read, written, and spoken)
  • Must be eligible working in China
  • Knowledge of CAAC/FAA Part 141 training in China
  • Ability to interface directly with airline customers
  • Ability to present in front of customers and key Boeing staff/leadership
  • Proficient in MS Office (MS Work, Excel, Outlook, Project and PowerPoint)
  • Experience coordinating small projects highly desirable
  • Knowledge:
    • Completely understands and applies job practices, techniques, standards, principles, and concepts.

    • Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems referring to established precedents and policies.

    • Receives general direction for work that is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Participates in determining objectives of assignment; plans, schedules, and arranges own activities to accomplish those objectives.

  • Typical Education / Experience:
    • Bachelor’s and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
