CRCC Asia is looking for an enthusiastic General Manager who, alongside the China General Manager, will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Beijing team as well as aspects of the CRCC Asia Beijing Internship Program.

 Essential Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree requirement

  • Work experience in China, familiarity with Beijing preferred

  • Education, study abroad and/or customer service industry experience preferred

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, Mandarin skills advantageous

  • Proven leadership experience with strong ability to work in a team

  • Ability to think logically and provide quick decisions on problem solving situations

  • Organization skills with acute attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize duties in a dynamic work environment

  • Understanding of CRCC Asia business model, company culture, and internship program operations

  • Flexible and adaptable to ever changing situations and demands

  • Enthusiastic, responsible and motivated personality

 

 

Business Development and Marketing Tasks

  • Alongside the China General Manager, lead the team in initiative creation to promote program and external relations locally and regionally

  • Further develop the strong links CRCC Asia has established with local businesses to ensure a numerous and varied Host Company pool for the China Internship Program

  • Alongside the China General Manager, manage proposals, contracts and bids for tender with universities, corporates and agents from initial proposal and drafting stages through to signing

  • Maintain relations with partner organizations through a variety of different mediums. Organise meetings with university staff where necessary to establish interest with potential partners and ensure continuation of current partnerships

  • Provide support to university and corporate partners during pre-departure and post-internship stages

  • Initiate, establish and maintain relationships with third parties to the benefit of the company (ie. University partnerships, host companies, etc.)

  • Organize Host Company meetings and program site visits for University faculty and other potential partners

  • Represent the company at events (such as CBBC, Britcham, etc.) in order to expand business scope; strengthen company’s brand and presence in Beijing.

 

Program Operations & Management

  • Function as the communication link between the different Regional Offices, Directors, other Management and staff.

  • Manage, guide and lead the Program Management and Business Development Management teams by preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.

  • Manage a diverse team ensuring communication and teamwork is effective and efficient;

  • Oversee all activities of teams directly related to providing a high quality internship program including internship placement aspects, events, logistics, etc.

  • Ensure placements are of high quality and good matchmaking, as well as monitoring and enforcing placement deadlines.

  • Analyse and solve unexpected issues and problems together with the relevant teams.

  • Provide advice and oversee implementation and maintenance of health and safety policies and procedures, especially in the event of emergencies.

  • Oversee correct use of the company CRM database and maximization of capabilities;

  • Establish and implement office policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with team members, other China office managers, overseas office managers and directors as necessary

  • Remain up to date on local regulations regarding visas, foreigners, and health in safety in China

 

HR Management

  • Alongside the China General Manager determine staffing requirements and plan workforce well in advance for peak/off peak season

  • Alongside the China General Manager conduct training and onboarding process for new employees.

  • Consult with local HR Manager and regulations to ensure company policy compliance;

  • Implement team building activities and create a friendly and hardworking team ethos.

 

Financial Management

  • With assistance from the Finance Team manage monthly budget and cash flow

  • In charge of daily financial cash flow

  • Monitor and maximise use of office and program budgets

  • Collect, check and monitor office expenses and employees’ expenses and reimbursements

 

Opportunity for additional responsibilities in a China Operations Management role include:

  • Communicating with Sales Managers and China GMs to assess and predict peak season program numbers, make adjustments to staffing and program resources as necessary, and coordinate location preference of applications accordingly

  • Initiate and implement program development and improvement aspects based on industry best practice. Monitor program development initiatives and provide feedback and adapt policies as necessary.
