Position Description:
Pioneer Academics seeks a few staff member with fluent Chinese who will be an entrepreneurial team member for making the most of our partnerships and helping students in China understand Pioneer’s offerings. This position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating information sessions, and increasing the number of qualified student applicants to Pioneer programs. Partnership management requires seasonal travel and robust and clear communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
● Increase Pioneer programs’ selectivity and reputation among the highest caliber high school students
● Significantly increase the number of qualified student applications to Pioneer’s programs
● Develop and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships with schools, student organizations and other organizations in Mainland China
● Maintain and increase rapid growth of scholastic partnership establishment
● Design and deliver bilingual presentations to students, parents and partners and increase the average rate of applicants per presentation
● Research and assess caliber of institutions
● Help students, parents and academic partners at all stages in the application process understand Pioneer’s creative, unique, and challenging research programs
● Provide comprehensive support to students throughout the program
● Identify, research, priorities, and develop new potential school and organization partners
● Propose and open new channels to gain recognition for the Pioneer Research Program
● Work cross functionally to improve processes and student experience
● Prepare regional travel itineraries
Essential Qualifications:
● Graduate of a prominent American university with a bachelor’s degree or higher
● Student-centric mindset and passion for outstanding education experience
● Minimum of 2 years business development and/or customer service experience, creating and developing relationships with Chinese contacts at various levels
● Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
● Highly self-motivated and directed with ability to work independently as well as coordinating and supporting a team
● Experience drafting plans to meet ambitious goals
● Collaborate with academic team to identify opportunities to improve student learning experience
● Fluent English and fluent Chinese language skills required
● Willing to live in Beijing and travel frequently within China
