This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, highly organized individual to build and develop systems to support the needs of our organization’s wide ranging programs and initiatives, while optimizing resource efficiency. The ideal candidate excels at managing multiple priorities while proactively forecasting needs and taking initiative. The program manager is a natural problem solver, extremely organized and detail-oriented, and has excellent communication skills. This position spans organizational and programmatic functions, collaborates closely with staff, and reports to the organization’s leadership.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with accounting and program staff to develop and maintain systems for tracking budget to actual progress
  • Organize and standardize written protocols for use in the management and direction of programs
  • Develop monitoring and evaluation procedures and methodologies
  • Develop and standardize planning resources including workflows, templates, and reports
  • Maintain calendar of programs for the official organizational record
  • Coordinate program reporting to comply with governance requirements
  • Work with staff to optimize technology systems for organizational and program needs
  • Create agendas and lead program staff meetings
  • Maintain system for planning and tracking staff assignments
  • Ensure growth opportunities for staff through skill based training and professional development
  • Coordinate annual reviews and ensure proper documentation
  • Contribute to the internship program by coordinating intern support for programs and ongoing projects and developing evaluation and review standards 

Qualifications

  • 5 years project management experience, PMP/PMI certification a plus
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Able to multitask and work well under pressure, both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate efficiently in a calm and professional manner
  • Strong technology skills (Advanced Microsoft Office required, Salesforce a plus)
