● Manned and led the set up of the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) stand, and delivered vegetables in The Food Project’s box truck to Hunger Relief Organizations, box share members, and Farm to Family members. ● Learned about the functions of a farm and crop rotation, helping me to understand the science and application of environmentalism in agriculture. ● Participated in discussions concerning food justice, which enhanced my understanding of agriculture and its importance to community. ● Introduced accessible agricultural programs to city residents through the Build a Garden program. ● Implemented existing knowledge about the food system by teaching members of the community about sustainable agriculture. ● Obtained hands-on experience working on farmland and gained respect for the natural environment.
