The Committee of 100 will be hosting a special event this Thursday in San Francisco featuring author of Fateful Ties: A History of America’s Preoccupation with China, Gordon Chang!
On June 21st, 2015 Project Pengyou, Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies – China (SAIS – China) and the Committee of 100 brought together over 130 guests including Project Pengyou Chapter leaders, students, and professionals in Washington D.C. to the SAIS campus for a speaker forum featuring expert U.S.-China bridge-builders.
On June 21st, 2015 preceding this year’s Consultation on People to People Exchange, Project Pengyou co-hosted an event in Washington D.C. with Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies – China titled: People to People exchange in U.S.-China Relations: Forgotten Past, Fateful Future.

Held on a Thursday during the State Department’s International Education Week, our inaugural Pengyou Day was a rousing success. With the help of our nationwide Project Pengyou chapter teams as well as our signature partners, Asia Society and the Committee of 100, we celebrated building friendships between Americans and Chinese while trying to deepen engagement and mutual understanding through the launch of simultaneous events across the country!
On November 3, we had the honor of hosting Mr. Tang at the Golden Bridges Courtyard to talk about his experiences in the U.S.-China space.
