On May 2, 2012, Project Pengyou facilitated a meeting of over 20 leaders of academic exchange programs at the Ford Foundation office in Beijing, including the Institute of International Education, Alliance for Global Education and the Hopkins-Nanjing Center. Carola McGiffert, director of the 100,000 Strong Initiative, led the discussion and exchange of ideas.
