Asia Society was one of our signature partners during Pengyou Day for the “We Are All #Pengyou” Campaign and helped spread the word about the importance of US-China study, exchange and engagement through their Confucius classrooms! Zheng Yi, Senior Program Associate at Asia Society interviewed our Leadership Fellows in high school and highlighted the amazing work they are doing at their schools!

Despite the fact that most of our fellows are at the university level, it is vital that not just college students are involved in the US-China bridge-building process. As our fellow from the Project Pengyou St. Ann’s School Chapter, Anya Dunaif, notes in the interview: “even as high school students, we have important roles to play in U.S.-China relations.

Ymara Magliore, our Leadership Fellow from the Project Pengyou Medgar Evars College Preparatory School Chapter, also described her hopes to share Chinese culture with middle school students to spark interest and encourage students to start looking for opportunities to go abroad early in their academic career.

We’re proud of all of our pengyous who are the grassroots ambassadors of our movement, and we’re happy to see our youngest group of Leadership Fellows receive the support and recognition they deserve!
