On December 18, 2011, Project Pengyou hosted will.i.am for a community event in the Project Pengyou courtyard. Will.i.am, serving as a cultural ambassador for the 100,000 Strong Initiative, came to visit and to celebrate the important role that art plays in the lives of young people. It was standing room only as students from Beijing Union University performed songs, dances and martial arts.
