Event Details
“Children in China: The Opportunities and Challenges of Growing Up in a Rapidly Changing Context” with Pia MacRae, Country Director, Save the Children (China)
Pia MacRae who is the country director of Save the Children will speak to our BIS audience on child health, education and protection in China. In her talk, Ms. MacRae will focus particularly on the implications of China’s floating population on the childhood experience. Ms. MacRae will explain the challenges in ensuring that no child gets left behind, literally (as in the case of the many millions of children left by their parents, seeking work), or metaphorically as the socio-economic and aspiration gaps grow between different groups of children.
60RMB, 30RMB Students | Foreign Passport Holders Only
This event is off-the-record. Advanced registration is not required.
