Event Details

The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional festival taking place on 5th day of 5th month every year according to the lunar calendar in commemoration of the famous Chinese poet Quyuan. There are quite a few interesting things to do on the Dragon Boat Festival, such as Dragon boat race, eating zongzi, making five-colored threads, etc. In traditional Chinese culture, “green, red, white, black, yellow” are considered to be the five lucky colors. Therefore, many people wear five-colored threads on the Dragon Boat Festival in the hope of keeping healthy.

That’s Mandarin would like to invite you to join our cultural event about making Chinese knots and five-colored threads on April 20th, 7-9pm. Sign up here.
