Join Yenching Academy in hosting UN Women as they present newly released case studies covering topics of gender diversity in the workforce with Dr. Xin Deng from the University of South Australia Business School
Business leaders around the world highlight that effectively managing gender diversity in the workforce is a key component of a successful company. Research also shows that diversity and inclusion strategies have many benefits, including greater profitability for business, innovation and retention of talents. In other words, leaders not promoting gender equality in the workplace risk being left behind in the business world.
In China, materials and case studies addressing gender equality in a Chinese business environment have been lacking, and are not yet widely taught in business schools. In order to address this gap, UN Women and the University of South Australia (UniSA) Business School collaborated to create the first business case studies for gender equality in China.
These brand-new case studies, drawn from real companies operating in China, will be presented by Dr. Xin Deng from the UniSA Business School. The workshop will be a unique opportunity for students to learn from practical examples how to advance and benefit from gender diversity in a company in the Chinese context; discuss with an expert from one of the top business schools in the world; be up to date with current research and practices, and get ahead of the game as a future business leader.
The workshop is free of charge with limited seats available on a first-come-first-served basis. To register for the workshop, please RSVP to unwomen.china@unwomen.org by 17:00 on 7th April, 2017. Please mention in the email which business school/higher education institution you are enrolled in. We are looking forward to your participation!
