Event Details
The Beijing Cultural Heritage Protection Center (CHP) is pleased to announce we are partnering with UNESCO Beijing Office to present a half-day forum titled “Good Tourism” and Cultural Heritage Preservation from the Grassroots in China. This event will highlight voices from China’s cultural heritage and tourism sectors. Speakers will share projects, experiences, and expertise in a series of short lectures. Through this, they will emphasize best practice in the tourism industry in China, and propose visions for the future of Good Tourism in China.
What is Good Tourism? “Good Tourism” advocates for looking at tourism in a comprehensive way. The goal is to unite tourists, policy-makers, tourism operators, managers, and local communities to engage in tourism that benefits all.
The goal of this forum is to link the work of cultural heritage preservation with good tourism, ignite public engagement in these issues and raise awareness about sustainable tourism in China
A note on registration — to prioritize diversity, 50 general public participants will be selected via application to attend. For more information, and to apply, please click here.
