Each year, the 100,000 Strong Foundation selects approximately 100 students from around the country to serve as 100K Strong Student Ambassadors. By sharing their transformative China experiences with their peers and local communities, these Student Ambassadors play a vital role in furthering the Foundation's mission of strengthening US-China relations through study abroad.

The Advanced Asian Research and Language Institute, recruiting in cooperation with California State University Monterey Bay, and the Ricci Institute of Macau (assisting the University of San Francisco's Pacific Rim program), offers 100 days of study in Asia, with cost-effective research opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, and the option of getting a MA degree in select disciplines.

AHA International offers a summer program in Shanghai giving you the opportunity to take business courses while experiencing cultural immersion in China. This program is designed for undergraduate students majoring or minoring in business, as well as undergraduate students majoring in international studies with a business focus.

AIESEC mainland China, founded in 2002, has been committed to the training and development of Chinese society with an international vision and a sense of social responsibility through AIESEC's international platform for future leaders, making it the first choice for young people to pursue the development of leadership.

The mission of the Hong Kong-America Center is to promote the understanding between Hong Kong and American societies through educational and cultural exchanges. In so doing, the Center advances cross-cultural understanding between Chinese and Americans over the bridge of Hong Kong.

Through academic exchanges, overseas language immersion, and educational development programs, American Councils designs and administers innovative programs that broaden individual perspectives, increase knowledge, and deepen understanding. After being immersed in other countries and cultures, our participants become culturally aware citizens of the world, contributing to mutual understanding and successful international collaboration.

Americans Promoting Study Abroad (APSA) develops programs designed to create opportunities for American high school students who otherwise would not be able to study abroad. APSA currently provides 85 scholarships to public high schools to study in Beijing, China.

Marshall University’s Appalachians Abroad Teach in China Program recruits and places an average of 50 Americans annually to teach English in universities, public and private K-12 schools in China.

The ACC Intensive Language & Culture Program in Beijing is a Chinese language program administered by Hamilton College and hosted by Minzu University of China (MUC) in Beijing.

Founded in September 2005, Beijing International Chinese College (BICC) is a professional educational institution devoted to the international promotion of Chinese. BICC not only focuses on teaching international students Chinese but also offers training in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. We integrate Chinese teaching resources and advanced learning methods to meet the needs of people of different nationalities, different age groups, and different education backgrounds. We would like to become the ambassador of Chinese language and culture.

BLCU, known as Little United Nations, is the only university of its kind in China that promotes Chinese all over the world and offers Chinese language and culture courses to foreign students as well as a multidisciplinary university featured in language teaching and research. Since its foundation in 1962, BLCU has been an important academic base for language and culture research and the cradle for international talents in China.

Established in 1950, Beijing Technology and Business University (BTBU) is a key university run by Beijing Municipal Government. The university is developing fast and becoming one of the leading universities in Beijing.

The Cities in Transition project was developed at Beloit College to help study abroad students escape the “bubbles” or foreign student communities that are often a feature of the study abroad experience. Such bubbles often increase the difficulty of making meaningful connections with the study abroad host site. The larger aim of the project, however, is to maximize study abroad’s learning potential by giving the students the tools that are needed for intercultural and experiential learning. Depending on the course location, volunteering or self-designed projects enable students to deepen their engagement with their host cities around topics of immediate interest to them. The two host institutions for the China programs are Henan University in Kaifeng, and Shandong University in Jinan.

High school juniors from low-income communities in Birmingham, Alabama have the opportunity to travel abroad to Beijing, China to study in a four-week cultural and language immersion program with peers from across the United States.

Boren Awards, funded by the National Security Education Program (NSEP), provide unique funding opportunities for US undergraduate and graduate students to study less commonly taught languages in world regions critical to US interests and underrepresented in study abroad, including Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East.

The mission of the Chinese Flagship Center is to create global professionals who can function culturally and linguistically in the professional Chinese world.

Bryant University houses a U.S.-China Institute, which forges academic, business, and cultural partnerships between Bryant University and higher learning institutions, business enterprises, and governmental offices in China. It is also home to the Confucius Insitute, which helps promote relations between U.S. and China through education.

Middlebury College is a private liberal arts college located in Middlebury, Vermont. The C.V. Starr-Middlebury School in China, in cooperation with CET Academic Programs, offers immersion opportunities in Chinese language and culture in three distinct locations: Beijing, Hangzhou, and Kunming.

Calvin College is a liberal arts college located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Calvin has its own semester-long program in China at the Capital Normal University in Beijing, offered every fall semester.

The Carnegie–Tsinghua Center, through its partnership with Tsinghua University, brings together top experts from China and the international community to engage in collaborative dialogue and research in order to identify constructive solutions to today’s common global challenges.
