AmCham China is seeking a magazine intern for the Communications Department. Applicants must be enrolled in college or graduate school during the internship.

Job Description

Magazine Interns will be:

*Pitching and developing articles

*Transcribing and fact-checking interviews

*Writing summaries of chamber events

*Taking and organizing photos from chamber events

*Copyediting and proofreading magazine

*Supporting Communications Department staff on projects as needed

 

Required skills:

*Experience in writing and editing in an engaging, journalistic style

*Ability to meet deadlines

*Familiarity with using style guides, preferably Associated Press style

*Ability to work effectively on a team

 

*Familiarity with Adobe InDesign desired, but not required

Current status: location (city/country), citizenship, and visa status with regards to China (i.e. Chinese citizen currently studying abroad, Chinese student, American in Beijing on an X visa). 4.
