Berkeley-based startup, Go Overseas, is looking for an associate account manager to join its partner growth team. You’ll be responsible for supporting the content and account management needs of some of the thousands of providers who list their programs on the site. Your ultimate goal will be to nurture those providers into potential clients.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for all non-client providers on Go Overseas
  • Help prospect and onboard providers that aren’t actively engaging with the site
  • Nurture relationships with promising non-clients and refer them to our sales team when relevant
  • Help the team prepare for conferences by researching attendees and scheduling meetings
  • Expertly address dense questions via phone and email providing answers that are quick and easy to understand
  • Help providers get through critical moments with ease by taking a systematic approach to problem-solving and applying a bit of detective work to solve any issue that comes your way
  • Create overall phenomenal provider experiences
  • Help curate and monitor website content that affects providers (reviews, interviews, etc)
  • Act as a voice for our providers and help us prioritize future enhancements to the Go Overseas platform & services
  • Advocate for our users (travelers), because it’s the most important part of what we do
  • Work directly with our COO
Requirements
  • Obsessively organized, detail-oriented, and sincerely empathetic
  • You believe that there really is “no such thing as a stupid question”
  • Proactive in identifying new opportunities, solving problems, and prioritizing efforts
  • A compelling writer who crafts grammatically impeccable emails and you’re just as articulate on the phone
  • A master of the email inbox
  • BA or BS degree from an accredited university
  • Background or strong interest in travel
  • Take an analytical approach to everything you do
  • Love working with people and forming long term relationships with them
Nice-to-haves
  • Experience with studying, teaching, volunteering, etc. abroad
  • Interest in data and analytics (Google Analytics specifically)
  • Client management experience
