Job Description
Trip Operations Manager
The Dragon Trip is China’s fastest growing travel company and provides high quality yet affordable backpacker tours to China. Our young and dynamic team is spread across offices in Shanghai, Beijing, London and San Francisco. We are now looking for a new Trip Operations Manager.
Duration: February 1st –November 30th 2015
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.30am-6pm, includes 1 hour lunch break (and deal with guide emergencies out of office hours)
Location: The Dragon Trip Head Office: Room 1111, No. 1 Huaihai Zhong Lu, Shanghai (and time spent travelling all over China to meet guides).
Compensation:
· Base Salary of 12500rmb- 14000rmb after tax and insurance (dependent on experience)
· Visa Fees will be paid for and The Dragon Trip will assist with your application
Terms:
· Directly reporting to the Shanghai office manager
· Entitled to 12 holiday days a year
· You will be assisted in this role by two Trip Operation Manager’s Assistants
Responsibilities:
· Management of all tour guides who are spread across 7 different guiding areas in China.
· Lead the guide training session in March and take responsibility for all in-season training
· Plan the recruitment strategy for 2016 season
· Organise and arrange guide scheduling
· Work on the guide policy and making sure that guides implement the policies
· Ensure all guides have the correct equipment (including uniform, first aid kits etc)
· Develop guide information packs
· Collect feedback from groups and give this back to guides
· Ensure guides encourage customers to leave feedback for us
· Inform our bookings departments what tickets/accommodation are needed for guides
· Assist with risk assessments
· Produce a monthly summary of what has been happening on the trips
· Collect marketing materials from guides for use by the marketing team
