Leadership Fellows in the News: TAMIU Campus Chapter Earns National Award for Pengyou Day
Our Project Pengyou Chapter at Texas A&M International University has garnered the attention of their school news organization, the International!
The fast-growing chapter at TAMIU won 2nd place for their efforts in our national Pengyou Day engagement competition, out of over thirty campus chapters. The TAMIU group has done a great job engaging students on their campus, and it’s wonderful to see them getting recognized for their work!
Carlos Diaz, the TAMIU Chapter’s Vice President shares his thoughts about Pengyou Day:
“Pengyou Day was an opportunity to share our dreams, goals, knowledge, and aspirations to all students and [the] general public, in an attempt to bring awareness about US-China Relations.”
The Chapter has been doing so well promoting educational exchange with China that four of the chapter members will be studying in Hong Kong this semester. Great work, TAMIU team!
