The Hopkins-Nanjing Center is offering a $10,000 Scholarship to our Project Pengyou builders, both current members and alumni!

The Hopkins-Nanjing Center (HNC) is a bilingual graduate program of international studies, jointly administered by Johns Hopkins University and Nanjing University in China. Students earn a graduate certificate or master’s degree in China, advance their Mandarin language skills, and gain a multidisciplinary foundation in international affairs and China studies. All admitted students who apply by February 1 deadline receive guaranteed scholarships. Alumni (or current leaders) of the Project Pengyou Chapter Leader are eligible for the Student Leader Scholarship!

1. Student Leader Scholarship

Students who have held a leadership position in a China-related student organization on their campus or in their community are eligible for this $10,000 scholarship. Positions may include but are not limited to: Project Pengyou Chapter Leader, US-China Strong Ambassador, leadership roles in other China-related student organizations.

2. US-China Exchange Scholars Scholarship

Students who have completed a US-government sponsored Chinese language program (for example: Critical Language Scholarship, Boren Fellowship, Gilman International Scholarship) are eligible for this $10,000 scholarship.

3. Young Professionals in China Scholarship

This $10,000 scholarship will be awarded to a limited number of students who have spent at least 12 months working full-time in Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, or Macao in any field.

4. International Scholar Scholarship

Full-tuition scholarship awarded to an international student (non-US citizen or dual citizen) enrolling in any of the HNC programs in Fall 2019.

5. Diversity Scholarship

This $10,000 scholarship is awarded to students who can demonstrate how they can bring their diverse backgrounds into the classroom.
