Now that the Project Pengyou Leadership Fellows Program is in its second year, several of our inaugural Fellows have graduated. Many of them are now working or furthering their education in China through teaching, research, volunteering, and more. More than one quarter of the Fellows from our first two cohorts went on to receive prestigious scholarships and fellowships in greater China and/or pursue China-related positions post graduation. We had a call last week to catch up with everyone and hear about their careers and recent adventures in China and abroad (in fact, the majority of those on the call were already back in China). We were also excited to start a conversation with our alumni about how Project Pengyou can be a resource to the community after graduation!

There were many great ideas of how to grow the network to serve alumni and young professionals who care about US-China relations, such as localized meetups and serving as Chapter advisors. As Fellows go on to hold positions of leadership in business, public service, energy, and many other industries, we trust that they will continue to build bridges wherever they go.
