***REGISTRATION REQUIRED*** Join a National Panel webcast on China’s foreign direct investment followed by a discussion with Jeremy Goldkorn, Director Danwei Research and commentator on the Sinca Podcast.

China Town Hall is a national day of programming on China involving about 75 cities throughout the United States. This event includes:

  • 5:00pm – Registration/Reception

  • 6:00pm – National Panel Webcast on China’s Foreign Direct Investment

    • Robert Rubin, Former US Treasury Secretary; Sheldon Day, Mayor, Thomasville, Alabama; Daniel Rosen, Founding Partner, Rhodium Group; and Moderator Stephen Orlins, President, National Committee on U.S.-China Relations
  • 7:00pm – Jeremy Goldkorn, Director of Danwei Research and TN-China Network Board Member, Providing On-Site Remarks & Conversation

Jeremy Goldkorn is the founder and director of Danwei, a research firm which began life in 2003 as a website that translated and analyzed Chinese media, Internet, government regulation, and censorship. In 2009, shortly after Goldkorn opened a consulting business in Beijing to operate the website, it was blocked, and the company pivoted to providing media and market research services. The Financial Times acquired Danwei in 2013.
