Describing and fostering this wealth of stimuli and talent has become the project of Beijing Blend. And just like the city, Beijing Blend hasn’t limited itself to a single form or function. The mission? Using Wechat articles, panel discussions and a new series of videos to bring together the diverse and seemingly unending sources of inspiration surrounding those living in Beijing.

8月14日星期五的晚上7:30，京搅扮诚邀您出席我们的一岁生日大趴！！！我们的活动将在京城有名的文化地标”老书虫”举办– 这是那种少有的咖啡店，你可以在这里轻抿一杯清晨的咖啡，或点一份夜宵，如果愿意，再品读着书籍时，享受如家的闲适。

On Friday the 14th of August, 7:30pm Beijing Blend invites you to be a part of this movement and celebrate our first birthday! Held at one of Beijing’s Sanlitun cultural institutions – the Bookworm – one of the few venues you might feel equally at home sipping a morning coffee or ordering a round of midnight shots (all while reading a book, if that’s your fancy). Beijing Blend has found in The Bookworm a synergistic partner with which to celebrate Beijing and its people.

这次“京搅扮”范儿十足的聚会将融合音乐、艺术、美酒与对话，全为一个善因：我们与慈善机构“点亮眼睛”合作，将把入场门票的全部收入捐献给偏远地区存在视力问题的孩子们。

In true Beijing Blend fashion the party will mix music, art, drink and conversation — all for a good cause. This time around Beijing Blend is teaming up with social enterprise Education In Sight, with all ticket proceeds going towards children affected by poor vision in rural areas.

届时，还将展示由同样关注留守儿童的慈善组织“上学路上”推荐的纪实摄影师刘飞越的作品及旅行摄影师Nathan Chester作品并进场静拍活动，并有澳洲创作歌手The Groove Collective的领唱 Tash Jamieson现场演出，随后， DJ Panda Chief将开启深夜环节。当然，老书虫的厨师们精心烹饪的酸奶油烟熏三文鱼、海鲜迷你杯等近十种美食，还有Cheers!提供80升的免费Sangria汽酒，就等你来品尝、搅拌、狂欢！

With the support of charity Shang Xue Lu Shang the walls will be lined with the works of documentary photographers Liu Fei Yue and Nathan Chester, available for slient auction, while live music will be performed by Australian singer of The Groove Collective, Tash Jamieson. Bookworm chefs will keep our stomachs happy with tasty canapes (did someone say smoked salmon & seafood cocktails?). And afterwards DJ Panda Chief‘s set will take us late into the night. To top it off 80 litres of Sangria will be provided by Cheers, making for a true Beijing B(l)ender.
