A little about BEAM Alliance…
In 2012, Bridging Education And Mobility | 学愿桥 was founded on the vision that anyone with an idea for a transformational educational project would have the funding and resources to make that idea a reality. BEAM aims to provide the proper incentives and support for teachers in migrant, rural, and disability classrooms to turn their own ideas into unique opportunities for their students to grow. About the speaker…
Chris Clayman is a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where he majored in Political Science and English. But his long-held interest in China and Chinese language—as well as dedication to social justice—spirited him away to Yunnan Province where he taught for two years in a rural, under-served elementary school with Teach for China. Now he continues working alongside those dedicated to real change in educational inequity as founding team member and CTO of BEAM.
