With a huge domestic market(国内市场), a growing middle class(中层) with disposable income(可支配收入), and a growing economy, there are many opportunities for entrepreneurship(创业) in China.
There are also many challenges involved in starting a business in China. A July 2014 Economist article describes the challenges involved in starting a business in China: “Intellectual-property rights are hard and costly to defend. The tangle of red tape involved in tax, compliance, customs clearance, business registration and so on can overwhelm small firms.” You can learn to overcome some of these challenges.
Next Tuesday’s Class at Sinology Institute, Jiao Yu will discuss entrepreneurship in China. This class will teach you the practical steps that you need to start your own business. Some topics that will be discussed are:
- Agents(中介) and Lawyers(律师): What is the best move?
- How do you choose the right Chinese business partner(合伙人)?
- What is the best way to run a business in China?
- What are the opportunities(机会) and challenges(挑战) of running a business in China?
- Hiring(雇佣) in China? How do you find talented foreign and domestic staff(员工)?
Classes are taught in Mandarin and for upper-intermediate and advanced level students. Each Class is 125 RMB.
The deadline for signing up for this class is noon at Tuesday, May 31st.
