Event Details
Explore social and environmental issues related to food and agriculture by engaging in discussion with experts in the field of sustainability.
We are disconnected from our soil and our food. Any food we desire can reach our plate no matter the distance. We modify our crops to have large yields, look pretty and tastier than ever. But is it okay?
At Green Drinks 111th Monthly Sustainability Forum, join us for an evening with Wayne Weiseman and Roger Mu to discuss how individuals in the city can reconnect with their land and food. Roger Mu is founder and CEO of Farmonize. He is a sustainable farming expert, with experience in hydroponics, aquaponics, artificial environments, composting and poultry farming. Wayne Weiseman is a permaculture teacher, designer, consultant, and author. For 15 years Wayne managed a land-based, self-reliant community project combining organic crop/food production, ecologically-built shelter, renewable energy and appropriate technologies.
Cost: ¥50 – regular, ¥20 – student, ¥70 – At Door
