The theme in this round will be the Silk Road, in line with one of the hottest topics of research in China nowadays. The One Belt One Road initiative promoted by the Chinese government is a policy that will upgrade the old Silk Road as a modern economic and development zone.

Researchers from all disciplines can join. The theme touches a lot of topics in social sciences and humanities, such as economics, international relations, geopolitics, culture and history, but it also evokes questions about engineering, environment, energy and other sciences.

The free event is open to researchers of all levels (Ph.D. students, post-docs and senior researchers), all fields and research-related professionals from Europe, China and beyond.
