Event Details

The Center for International Foreign Language Teacher Education (CIFLTE) at Teachers College, Columbia University provides state-of-the-art training in foreign language pedagogy. The Center currently offers two teacher education programs, namely the TCSOL one-year certificate program in New York City and the TCSOL/TESOL summer dual certificate program in Beijing. Both programs are accepting applications.

The Center currently offers two teacher education programs, namely the TCSOL one-year certificate program in New York City and the TCSOL/TESOL summer dual certificate program in Beijing. Both programs are accepting applications. Application deadlines are July 30, 2016 (one-year) and June 30, 2016 (summer).

Dr. Lening Liu is invited to give an information session about the two programs at Columbia Global Centers | Beijing on May 21. Participants will have chances to communicate with him directly.

Professor of East Asian Languages and Cultures and Director of the Chinese Language Program at Columbia University

Dr. Lening Liu is Professor of East Asian Languages and Cultures and Director of the Chinese Language Program at Columbia University. In addition, he is the Director of the Confucius Institute and serves as co-director of the TCSOL Program with Dr. ZhaoHong Han. Dr. Liu’s research interests are in the areas of historical syntax, discourse grammar and Chinese language pedagogy. He has published a number of articles on the evolution of Chinese conjunctive adverbs, the rhetorical structures of Chinese, the history and innovation of Chinese pedagogy, etc. MORE
