Our moderator, Selina Ho, is currently Senior Research Fellow at the Centre on Asia and Globalization at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore. Kenneth Jarrett is President of The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. Previously Mr. Jarrett was Chairman for Greater China of APCO Worldwide, a Washington-based public affairs consultancy. Mr. Jarrett was also a former U.S. diplomat for 26 years. His assignments included U.S. Consul General in Shanghai, Deputy Consul General in Hong Kong, and Director of Asian Affairs in the National Security Council. Mr. Jarrett graduated from Cornell University, Yale University and the National War College. He attended the Hopkins Nanjing Center and is a member of the National Committee of US-China Relations.
Mingjiang Li is an Associate Professor at S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore where he is also the Coordinator of the China Programme. James Loi is the Counselor for Economic & Political Affairs with the U.S. Embassy in Singapore where he leads the combined Economic and Political sections. He has served in the Bureau of East Asian & Pacific Affairs (EAP) at the U.S. Department of State as chief of staff and special assistant to EAP Assistant Secretary Dr. Kurt Campbell and then as Deputy Assistant Secretary responsible for Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands and for the EAP Office of Regional & Security Policy. He also served at the White House on the National Security Council where he was Director for Australia, New Zealand, & Pacific Island Affairs and Director for East Asian Economic Affairs.
We look forward to also have a representative from the Chinese embassy in Singapore participate on the panel.
Registration includes a nominal fee to help to recover costs for the venue and refreshments served.
