Event Details
We are excited to sponsor the fifth annual DEFINITIVE DC China Happy Hour! This event will be hosted by the Young China Watchers Washington, D.C. Chapter, alongside more than 20 other DC-area student, alumni, social, and professional organizations with a focus on China. It will take place at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in the Gold Room at Eighteenth Street Lounge, 1212 18th St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20036.
This year, we will be joined by Scott Tong, a reporter and former China bureau chief for NPR’s Marketplace. Scott will read from his recently published book, A Village with My Name: A Family History of China’s Opening to the World, and answer questions from the audience. Copies will be available for purchase.
Happy hour priced drinks will be available at the bar and patio until 9:00 pm. There will also be plenty of opportunities to meet old friends, make new ones, and learn about the breadth of China-related organizations based in D.C.
$10 early bird tickets are still available, so get your tickets today! Tickets will be available for purchase at the door for $15.
