Please join us for the next session of Young China Watchers on Wednesday, August 13, featuring an evening with David Pedrol, Chief Executive Officer, Macro Asia & Cellarmaster Wines. David will be speaking about “The Truth Behind the Wine Industry in China: Challenges & Opportunities”. He will speak for around 20 minutes, followed by a brief Q&A.

David joined Macro Asia in December 2013 having developed his career in the global wine industry for the last fourteen years. He majored in Wine Tasting and Commerce of Wine at the London Wine Institute, finishing with the Educators program and teaching about wine in several countries around the world.

David went on to develop businesses in several countries in Europe and America and seven years ago made the move to Asia. After joining Yesmywine in China in its early stages, he helped to turn it into the fastest growing wine business in China.

In June 2013, his company was chosen to be the world Number One B2C e-Commerce Platform for selling wine. David has been voted the 27th most influential person in wine, featuring in the Decanter Top 50 Power List.
