After a sold-out introduction to the Year of the Sheep last year, we are pleased to welcome back Mr. Huang Yong Song, Taiwanese publisher and folklorist, to shed insight into the year ahead. Huang will explain Chinese cultural beliefs, expectations, and traditions for the coming zodiac year.

After a sold-out introduction to the Year of the Sheep last year, we are pleased to welcome back Mr. Huang Yong Song, Taiwanese publisher and folklorist, to shed insight into the year ahead. Huang will explain Chinese cultural beliefs, expectations, and traditions for the coming zodiac year.
All proceeds from the event will go towards the Beijing Cultural Heritage Protection Center, which will hold its annual fundraising dinner after the lecture. Join CHP for a delicious meal and intimate discussion with Mr. Huang with all proceeds dedicated to protecting Beijing’s cultural heritage.
Huang Yong Song is originally from Taiwan’s Taoshan County and now lives mainly in Beijing. Huang is a passionate educator, promoter and advocate for Chinese traditional folk cultures and cultural heritage: in 1971 Huang co-founded the magazine ECHO to promote traditional Chinese culture (the publication appears in Chinese as Hansheng, or “Chinese Voice”) ECHO was named “Best in Asia” by TIME magazine in 2006.
