Please join Columbia alumni and friends for a discussion of U.S. foreign policy with Stephen Sestanovich, professor of International Diplomacy and director of the International Fellows Program at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA).
Dr. Sestanovich will discuss U.S. foreign policy and the upcoming presidential election. His most recent book, Maximalist: America in the World from Truman to Obama, was published in 2014.
Dr. Sestanovich was the U.S. State Department’s Ambassador-at-Large for the former Soviet Union from 1991 to 2001. He has also served as vice president for Russian and Eurasian Affairs at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, director of Soviet and East European Studies at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and senior director for policy development at the National Security Council.
