JOB DESCRIPTION

EGRC is undergoing a period of growth and is seeking a committed individual with minimum three years of fundraising, marketing and communication experience to work with our team to help the organization meet its marketing and fundraising expanding goals.

The successful candidate will streamline EGRC’s communication and assist the President in meeting fundraising targets. As a valuable part of a small team, the Marketing and Fundraising Assistant will be an experienced and creative communicator who is comfortable managing diverse tasks and priorities.

The position requires excellent writing, organization and time management skills, a self-starter and flexible attitude, and the comfort and drive needed to work in a virtual office environment. The successful candidate will be committed to EGRC’s mission, detail-oriented and results-driven.

This is a PART TIME position to start with and could grow into full time.

EGRC is a registered charity, based in Vancouver, Canada and is registered in China in 2017

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working with the President and other team members, the position has the primary responsibility for assisting in marketing and communications projects.
1. Social media content creation
2. Electronic and print copy marketing collateral to promote EGRC presence in North America
3. Research and write grant & funding applications
4. Coordinate fundraising events, including assisting ticket sales, designing event program,
coordinating volunteers and facilitating day-of activities
5. Provide support on cross-cultural projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must be confident and capable of multitasking to meet multiple priorities.
• A minimum of three years of relevant work experience
• Excellent writing and research skills
• Native level English is essential, Mandarin Chinese strongly desired
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Dropbox, and others
• Ability to work independently as well as with the Founder and the team
• Experience working with CRM databases, preferably eTapestry by Blackbaud
• Design skills is an added asset

Working time per week:
• Part time – two to four days a week at flexible hours
• You will work regularly in a central Vancouver home office environment, in addition to working in your ‘virtual office’ at home and tracking your time
