A fast-growing hospitality chain seeks to hire a part-time project management consultant to work with the senior leadership team to manage the completion and subsequent execution of 5 key projects between May and October 2016.

The Company operates one western restaurant chain with outlets in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, and a specialty coffee shop chain in Shanghai. Since 2014, the brands have been awarded honors by multiple publications for Restaurant of the Year, Best New Restaurant, Best Brunch, and Best American.

 

 

Anticipated Role of the Project Management Consultant

The project management consultant will work with the senior leadership team to implement and maintain a project management system and as well as tracking tools for each project (maximum of 5 projects). Work may include:

  • Moderating the daily senior leadership telephone call (10 minutes)
  • Checking in with each of the team members three times per week regarding their projects and key tasks
  • Implementing and maintaining an online/mobile project management platform (Teambition, Slack, etc.)
  • Moderating one weekly team meeting between all key stakeholders to track and report progress

Note: Industry experience not required; the consultant will not contribute to the work, only manage the processes.

Desired Qualifications

  • 1-3 years’ experience in project management including use of an online/mobile project management platform
  • Fluency in Chinese (fluency in English a plus)
  • PMP certification a plus
  • Hospitality and/or restaurant experience is not required
