Thank You Summer 2016 Project Pengyou Interns!
On behalf of the Project Pengyou Team, we’d like to say a belated thank you to our summer 2016 intern team!
This past summer we had a crew of five hard-working, earnest, and bright individuals from a diverse array of backgrounds and experiences. Hailing from Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, China and the US, they enriched our team with thoughtful dialogue, reflection and cross-cultural insight.
Our team is small but ambitious, and our interns carry a lot of responsibility – this summer’s intern cohort did not disappoint us! Each of them not only helped to make our online content and events awesome, but also took on major projects such as single-handedly managing all of our social media accounts, designing concepts for new website features and structures, and laying the groundwork for other exciting new ventures. Read each of their stories and get to know them below:
So-Hyeong Lee, Saint Lawrence University
Yixuan Lim, Yale NUS University
David Ferguson, University of Pennsylvania
Xie Xin, University of Pennsylvania
Ellen Hao, University of Chicago
Thanks again to all five of you for an amazing summer! We had so much fun discovering new local eateries, getting to know you through your stories and experiences and of course, eating hotpot and singing KTV!
I know we learned a lot from each of you, and I hope you all had a great time at the Pengyou courtyard as well.
We won’t forget the interesting conversations, ideas, and laughter you brought to our courtyard, and we hope you all visit us again soon in Beijing.
