Twenty years from the advent of President Xi’s New Era, what would the new generation of China’s change-makers, entrepreneurs, and leaders look like? Fresh from speaking at the 2018 World Economic Forum in Davos, Carol Li Rafferty will share her perspectives on China’s up-and-coming millennials.
Carol Li Rafferty is a member of one of Hong Kong’s most prominent business and political families, graduated from Yale and Stanford, and worked in finance, law, and government. When Carol opened the Yale Center Beijing, she was 38 weeks pregnant. In addition to being the founding managing director of the center, which facilitates dialogues among leaders in businesses, governments, and universities, Carol is also the co-founder of Lean In China, which engages more than 100,000 women across China in professional support networks. In 2016, the World Economic Forum named Carol as a Young Global Leader (YGL), and she is a member of the YGL Advisory Group. Carol is also a Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a recipient of Caixin Media’s Outstanding Women Award.
