Event Details
On March 20, join the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation for a Social Impact Leadership Series event with James Chen, AB ’82, a Hong Kong–based venture philanthropist with a global outlook.
James Chen’s philanthropic journey travels from early childhood literacy in Greater China, to his campaign Clearly, where Chen is on a mission to help the 2.5 billion people around the world who suffer from poor vision to see—and he’s marshaling innovators, start-ups, governments, and NGOs to make it happen.
In this compelling talk, Chen will explore:
– His inspiration for becoming a philanthropist
– The power of “audacious philanthropy” and why traditional philanthropy models need to change
– How he plans to reach his ambitious aim of achieving vision correction across the globe
Please note that doors will open at 6:30pm with main event starting promptly at 7:00pm.
Networking reception to follow.
