The American Chamber of Commerce in the People’s Republic of China is a non-profit, non-governmental organization whose membership comprises more than 3,800 individuals from over 1,000 companies operating across China. The chamber’s nationwide mission is to help American companies succeed in China through advocacy, information, networking and business support services. AmCham China is the only officially recognized chamber of commerce representing American business in mainland China. With offices in Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian, Shenyang and Wuhan, AmCham China has more than 60 working groups, and holds more than 300 events each year.

Job Description

Required Skills:
• A bachelor degree, with a focus in English, international affairs, or business administration
• Excellent Chinese and English proficiency a must, oral and written
• Excellent interpersonal, networking and presentation skills; strong team player
• Ability to work independently and without significant oversight
• Ability to work on many different tasks with similar deadlines and requirements
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural organization
• Ability to engage with senior business executives and US and Chinese Government officials 
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Duties and responsibilities
• Responsible for strategic management and governance for the working groups: planning meetings, annual work plan, blueprint, board representative program, leadership pipeline and committee documentation. 
• Engaging with the Forum and Committee coordinators to ensure each working group is organizing regular meetings, events and briefings. 
• Working with the Director of Member Operations & Business Development to identify the opportunities and gaps within each working group.
• Responsible for maintaining/updating the Forum/Committee leadership list, handbook, website, and committee portals. 
• Direct oversight and support of 6-8 Forums/Committees, including but not limited to agriculture, energy, food & beverage, clean tech, and ICT. 

Working location and time
Beijing, 9:00-17:30, Monday- Friday
