Position Title: Assistant to Director General
Reports to: Director General
Location: Beijing, China
Term of Employment:  one year contract- subject to renewal upon performance, local employment conditions apply.

INBAR is currently seeking a qualified and well-experienced Assistant to support and facilitate the day-to-day work of INBAR Director General.
 
Responsibilities
 
•  Support Director-General in day-to-day work.  This includes taking care of travel plans,  expense statements, meeting schedules, coordination with staff, Members and partners, and other logistical work;
•  Take minutes of Executive Management Team meetings and other discussions chaired by the Director-General
•  Accompany the Director-General on visits to Embassies or other offices in Beijing when requested, and take notes of discussions
•  Respond to queries and questions addressed to the Director-General
•  Draft letters and other communication from the Director-General
•  Organize meetings, workshops, congresses as requested by Director-General;
•  Assist in the preparation of press releases, statements, and speeches;  
•  Other activities reasonable requested by the Director-General 
 
Qualifications
•  Bachelor’s degree in management, economics or relevant field, Master’s preferred. 
•  Minimum of three years work experience as an executive assistant or programme assistant, preferably in an international  non-profit organization
•  Excellent English skills (spoken and written) and fluency in Mandarin required.
•  Proactive worker and quick learner
•  Positive attitude and mindset, helping, welcoming and courteous nature 
•  Ability to fit in and work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic internal and external environment
•  Ability to independently draft letters, documents
•  Planned methodical approach to work, proficiency in use of planners, working through shared calendars, shared documents
•  Excellent with handling high volumes of email correspondence, attachments, resizing pictures, formatting, compressing files, printing and presenting documents
•  High-level proficiency in use of  Microsoft Office
